About The Program

Montana State University has a research lab that helps producers analyze their soil. Undergraduate (and occasionally, graduate) students are standing by to assist producers with their soil-related questions, whether by phone, email, social media, a coffee meeting, or an overnight visit complete with backyard soil characterization. In exchange for access to your private or leased property, they can characterize your soils and provide technical assistance for a modest fee.

The Soil Interrogation Lab can also run “soil literacy” modules at your local middle or high school. Please consider partnering with them, even if your heart is with the Griz.
